Húsakórið synger Nordika til Nordisk Råds Kulturpriser 2016 i Danmarks Radios Koncertsal, og det er intet mindre end verdenspremieren på en fælles nordisk hymne. Det færøske kor i København Húsakórið synger sammen med det grønlandske kor i København Aavat, det islandske kor i København Staka og det danske solistkor Camerata.
D. 1. november kl. 20 synger Húsakórið sammen med flere andre nordiske kor for første gang nogensinde den nykomponerede nordiske hymne, Nordika, og I kan se hymnen live på DR web kl 20:00, og efterfølgende bliver den transmitteret i alle de nordiske lande. Vi glæder os meget til at synge den fælles nordiske hymne, og vi håber, at I vil synes lige så godt om den, som vi gør.

Smuk fællessang for hele norden
Hymnen Nordika er komponeret af den kendte og prisbelønnede færøske komponist Sunleif Rasmussen, og ordene er skrevet af den prisbelønnede norsk-danske forfattter Kim Leine. Den har været undervejs i flere år, og nu kommer den endelig til verden.
Den smukke sang er resultatet af et fælles nordisk projekt, og det er meningen, at den skal være til glæde for alle mennesker i Norden. Nordisk Råds Kulturpris er den perfekte anledning til det første møde med hymnen.
Nordika er en kærlighedserklæring og en stor hyldest til Norden og dens klima, egenskaber og natur. Formålet med den fælles nordiske hymne er at skabe en fælles nordisk identitet, og forhåbentligt vil den snart blive en fast del af fællessangen i de nordiske lande.
